CREATE SOMETHING
Taking the time to create something will activate parts of your brain that will surface deeper thinking, meditation, and perspective. It could be a painting, drawing, sculpture, baked good, etc. The objective is to do something that visually and tactically excites your mind around your word.

MEMORIZE SOMETHING
You will quickly discover there are going to be a lot of quotes, scriptures, and definitions around your word. Begin making a list of what you find and put to memory a few of them. When you go through something difficult, this can anchor your thinking as you recall what you have memorized.

DO SOMETHING
Find an experience that you can associate with your word. For example, if your word is “organize” take a moment to focus on one thing you can organize. It doesn’t have to be a big project, just something you can experience.

LEARN SOMETHING
Begin looking up articles, books, podcasts, videos, etc. related to your word. Become an expert in your word. This will sharpen your focus and help you be the person God has destined you to be.

LOOKING AHEAD
Looking back on the past year and establishing a focus for the new year will help you overcome unexpected obstacles and provide you wisdom to embrace the best opportunities. The Lord has great things in store for you this year. As you focus on what He calls you to be, you will be astonished at the clarity you have and the good things that follow.
