Spring 2024 Update

Friends & Family,

Happy Memorial Day! We trust this email finds you well and that you are able to reflect on those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to guard, protect, and fight for our freedoms.

As we pivot towards summer, we thought we would take a moment and catch you up on what has taken place over the past few months. Below you’ll see an update from each family member along with a link to Milo & Olivia’s podcast that has been going strong!

How are you doing? We’d love to hear from you via email or Facebook.

Listen to Her Interview
Olivia has been accepted to Regent University and will be majoring in Marketing and minoring in Biblical Studies. We recorded a podcast where Milo asks her 7 questions aimed at those graduating from high school. You can listen to it HERE.

FROM MILO

I am currently serving as an instructor and command chaplain at the Navy Service Support Training Command in Virginia Beach, VA. This has been a great opportunity to train those who are deployed in defense of our nation and our allies.

A highlight has been traveling to Japan where we have trained over 150 Sailors in how to optimize the mind, body, and soul for peak performance. While there I also had the chance to minister alongside Pastor Mari Nishimura. Mari has been a close friend to Bethany and I. She currently pastors at a church in Yokohama, Japan. You can see us ministering with one another on their YouTube Channel HERE.

FROM BETHANY

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers these past few months. May is a month full of celebrations for our family. Birthdays, anniversaries, and mother’s day are some of the few things we are able to celebrate with family. I was honored to be a guest on the Mother’s Day episode of the Resilient Lineage podcast. You can listen to it HERE. It was a great opportunity even though I found myself rather reserved and shy during the recording.

This time of year makes me think of one of my favorite quotes from Saint Francis of Assisi:

Keep a clear eye toward life’s end. Do not forget your purpose and destiny as God’s creature. What you are in his sight is what you are and nothing more. Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take nothing that you have received…but only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice, and courage.

FROM ANDREW
My second year of college has ended well. I made more friends, hosted some game nights, got plugged into a new church, and helped lead the on campus Bible study. This summer I am working at Chick-fil-A and staying productive. I’m hoping to get more done with my YouTube channel, Pub n’ Fig. It’s good to be back home with family and look forward to the summer with one another.

The Resilient Lineage Podcast is going great! We have 17 episodes up and more coming out every Tuesday.
